Hamat Well was dug in soft clay layers and its walls are held by massive stones made of local limestone.<\/p>\n<p>We will walk along the <strong><span style=\"color: #008000;\">green-marked<\/span><\/strong><em> trail<\/em> for about 1.8 km, ascending patiently towards the eastern plain of Boar. The trail leads into a narrow desert gorge, which was constructed about 2000 years ago using layers of stone and soil. The trail turns right and then left, descending into a small channel. Within the channel, the trail leads to a fork in the road where the green and blue marked trails split. Following the <span style=\"color: #3366ff;\"><strong>blue marker<\/strong><\/span> to the left, we exit the channel in a general southeast direction. After about 600 meters of <strong>slow ascent,<\/strong> the stunning landscape suddenly opens up to the Boar Crater at our feet.<\/p>\n<p>Returning to the car, we will go back on the blue-marked trail for about 2.4 km and arrive at the present-day parking lot of Hamat Boar to conclude the trip. We recommend taking advantage of the breathtaking view for photography and water breaks.
