Begin the tour at the entrance to the visitors’ center (you can buy a map of the area’s trails at the visitors’ center). Then follow the path marked with Israel Trail<\/strong> signs and white-purple<\/span>-white markings<\/strong>, which circles the Ramon Crater along the Ramon Crater Trail.<\/p>\n

From the visitors’ center, we will walk about 400 meters southward, arriving at a viewpoint overlooking the Ramon Crater from a balcony. From the balcony, we will continue southward along the trail, and after about 500 meters, we will reach a junction with the Israel Trail continuing southward, as does the Ramon Crater Trail. To the left, you will see a trail marked with green markings.<\/p>\n

Turns left on the Green Marking<\/span><\/strong> and climbs the steep descent into the Ramon Crater, along an ancient camel trail, for a descent of about 1.1 km until reaching a junction with the Israel Trail and green markings. At the junction, we turn left and continue along the green markings<\/span> and the Israel Trail<\/strong>, which still descends slightly. From the junction of the trails, we walk about 800 meters and reach a junction with a trail marked with green and red markings. At the junction, we turn left and continue straight ahead, following the green markings<\/span><\/strong>. From the junction, we walk about 3.3 km, crossing valleys that descend from the narrow canyons of the crater from west to east, until we reach the Mansara Site. At Mansara Hill, you can see how intense seismic activity folded the sandstones. The same eruption created unique shapes in the scattered rocks in the area, in the shape of a symmetrical triangle. In the Ramon Crater area, there are several Mansara sites, about 5 in number, but only the current site is accessible to hikers and tourists. From the Mansara Site, we continue along the marked trail from the munitions site<\/em>, we continue marking the green trail<\/span><\/strong> that has become a convenient Jeep path. We walk on the Jeep trail for about 600 meters until we reach Highway 40, which marks the end of the trip.<\/p>\n
