The descent is characterized by layers of red rock, confirming the ancient volcanic eruptions that once occurred in the area.<\/p>\n<p>Upon reaching the bottom, we encounter an impressive terebinth tree, easily recognizable by its Ruthenian foliage (if you&#8217;re lucky, you may see it blooming in white), oak trees, and traces of wild donkeys, hyenas, and jackals. At the junction of the black and blue trails, we turn left onto the <strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">blue trail<\/span><\/strong>\u00a0and follow it to the Ardon stream. Walking about 400 meters on the<span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><strong> blue trail<\/strong><\/span>, with Harot Hill on our right (which you can climb on if you desire. There is an impressive view from the top). we arrive at another junction of blue and red trails. Turning right at the junction, we climb the<strong><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"> red-marked trail<\/span><\/strong> along the Red Stream.<\/p>\n<p>From there continue for about 900 meters downhill, and you will reach another junction of red and black trails, that is located on the Ardon Stream. There turn left at the junction, and connect to the<strong><span style=\"color: #000000;\"> black Jeep trail<\/span><\/strong>, while about 150 meters to the left of the junction, we can see an impressive dike based on walls and cliffs of the stream. This dike was formed by volcanic eruptions hundreds of millions of years ago, in the form of a slope penetrating weak points in the ground, and is now characterized as a vertical rock wall phenomenon. This phenomenon is rare and is one of 300 different geological phenomena in Israel.<\/p>\n<p>Continuing along the amazing colors and shades of Nahal Ardon stream for about 800 meters, we reach a trail junction marked in black and blue. At the junction, we turn right and continue uphill on the <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><strong>blue trail<\/strong> <\/span>with a moderate incline for about 2.2 km. After ascending for hundreds of meters, the trail levels off and continues on the plain of Saharonim.
