From the right-hand side of the fuel station and caf\u00e9, you will walk about 500 meters until you reach a fork in the trail marked by blue and purple markers based on jeep tracks. At this fork, turn right on the <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><strong>blue-marked Trail\u00a0<\/strong><\/span>and walk about 800 meters on a footpath until you reach another fork marked by blue and green markers. From this fork, continue on the<span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><strong> blue-marked\u00a0Trail\u00a0<\/strong><\/span>towards the northeast. Then you will walk for about 4.9 km through Wadis and the characteristic hills of the area.<\/p>\n<p>The hike continues on the<strong> <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">blue<\/span><\/strong><em> and <\/em><strong><span style=\"color: #ff00ff;\">purple<\/span><\/strong> markers <em><strong>(Nahal Hanegev trail)<\/strong><\/em> with a gentle to moderate descent until you reach the <em>Akav Stream<\/em>, the Upper Akav Spring, and the fork marked by black and blue trails. At this fork, turn left and ascend on the<span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong> black-marked trail<\/strong><\/span>.<\/p>\n<p>Following the Akav Stream, you walk for about 2.4 km until you reach the fork marked by black, green, and blue trails, with a lookout over the Lower Akav Spring. At this fork, turn right and ascend on the <strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">blue-marked\u00a0Trail\u00a0<\/span><\/strong><strong><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/strong><em><strong><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">(Please use caution when descending towards the spring, as the path can be very slippery. Fortunately, there are pegs installed to assist with a safe descent). <\/span><\/strong><\/em>After the spring, continue on the path and return to the<strong><span style=\"color: #339966;\"> green marking<\/span><\/strong> at the head of the wadi (ascending back through the rocky pegs).<\/p>\n<p>At the fork where the green, black, and blue trails meet, take a right turn and follow the<strong><span style=\"color: #008000;\"> green trail<\/span><\/strong> towards the northwest. The trail has a gentle to moderate ascent until you reach an impressive lookout over the Ramon Crater. From there, continue on the trail marked by<span style=\"color: #000000;\"> <strong>black<\/strong>,<\/span> <strong><span style=\"color: #008000;\">green<\/span><\/strong>, and <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><strong>blue<\/strong><\/span> markers as it descends towards the edge of the crater, ultimately leading to the final destination at Ben Gurion&#8217;s Tomb.<\/p>\n<p><u>After the refreshing dip, you can return to the beginning of the trail in three ways:<\/u><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Personalized pickup from the middle of the trail at the Ein Akev parking lot &#8211; click on the following link:<\/li>\n<li>Personalized pickup from Ben Gurion&#8217;s grave parking lot.<\/li>\n<li>Return on foot &#8211; via the jeep trail that leads to the Ben Gurion Midreshet through the Zin stream, the jeep trail is marked in blue initially and changes to red and arrives at the Ben Gurion Midreshet.
