From here, we follow the black-marked jeep road heading east, with a gentle to moderate descent for about 600 meters. The descent features red rock layers and ancient magma surfaces, evidence of past volcanic eruptions in the area. At the bottom, we’ll spot an impressive, wide acacia tree in the streambed. Nearby, it’s easy to identify desert broom bushes (if you’re lucky, they’ll be in bloom with white flowers), tamarisks, tracks of wild asses and gazelles, and even porcupine burrows. At the black and blue trail junction, we turn left onto the blue trail, entering Ardon Stream. We walk about 400 meters along the blue trail, with Mount Charut to our right (it’s possible to climb it for a stunning viewpoint), until we reach another trail junction, Blue and red trail markers. Here, we turn right and follow the red-marked trail that runs along the Adom Stream. From this junction, we continue for about 900 meters on a gentle descent until we reach another trail junction, marked red and black, at the base of the Ardon Stream. At the junction, we turn left and join the black-marked jeep trail. About 150 meters to the left of the junction, you can spot an impressive dyke cutting through the cliff wall on the northern side of the stream. This dike was formed by a slow intrusion of magma into cracks in the ancient bedrock. Today, it appears as a vertical wall rising through a horizontal rock face. It is one of the most striking geological features found in Ramon Crater and attracts researchers and geologists from around the world. From the junction, we continue another 800 meters along the colorful Ardon Stream until we reach the next trail junction. Marked in black and blue. We turn here. We turn right and follow the blue-marked trail, ascending at a gentle to moderate incline. We continue for about 2.2 kilometers, starting with an ascent. After a few hundred meters, the trail levels out and continues across the Saharonim Plateau until it brings us back to the Saharonim Day-Use Area, completing the circular route.

["post-4591","trail","type-trail","status-publish","hentry
["GET
