To the northwest of the station, on the left side, we join the black trail marker at the point where the riverbed widens significantly. We begin a gentle ascent up the streambed heading west, following the black trail along a dirt path. After about 200 meters, we enter the streambed, where the ascent becomes slightly more difficult (moderate level). Continuing on the black trail for about 1.4 kilometers, the climb becomes increasingly steep until we reach a junction with the green trail. Here, we turn left onto the green trail and continue for about 300 meters until we reach the junction with the blue trail. At the junction, we turn right onto the blue trail and climb about 100 meters to reach the stunning viewpoint at the summit of Mount Tzfachot.<br \/>\nThe mountain is composed of slate, a metamorphic rock with flat, sheet-like crystals that resemble stacked pages. From this breathtaking viewpoint, we look east toward the Edom Mountains in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, with the Red Sea (Gulf of Aqaba) spreading out at their base. On a clear day, four countries can be seen from this point: Jordan, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, and, of course, Israel.<br \/>\nAfter the viewpoint, we descend about 100 meters back to the junction of the blue and green trails, where we turn left again onto the green trail. We follow it downhill for about 1.4 kilometers, with a moderate level of difficulty. The trail leads us toward the Eilat Field School (on our right) and to Highway 90, next to which lies the starting\/ending point of the Israel National Trail. After completing the hike, it’s recommended to enjoy a refreshing dip or light snorkeling at the Coral Beach Nature Reserve, located near the endpoint.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"featured_media":0,"template":"","blocation":[],"duration":[],"time":[],"season":[],"level":[],"location":[],"class_list":["post-4585","trail","type-trail","status-publish","hentry"],"acf":[],"aioseo_notices":[],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/negevtrails.com\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/trail\/4585","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/negevtrails.com\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/trail"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/negevtrails.com\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/trail"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/negevtrails.com\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=4585"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"blocation","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/negevtrails.com\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/blocation?post=4585"},{"taxonomy":"duration","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/negevtrails.com\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/duration?post=4585"},{"taxonomy":"time","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/negevtrails.com\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/time?post=4585"},{"taxonomy":"season","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/negevtrails.com\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/season?post=4585"},{"taxonomy":"level","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/negevtrails.com\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/level?post=4585"},{"taxonomy":"location","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/negevtrails.com\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/location?post=4585"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
