We will set off from the path marked in green from the southwestern end of the city, on which we will walk along an ancient camel path. Towards the end of the descent we will notice the path marked in blue going out to our right, but we will continue to walk along the green marking next to the black hill and down into a small wadi. After descending to the bottom of the gorge we can notice the basalt columns on the left and continue to follow the red marking leading south (with the settlement of Mitzpe Ramon behind us). You can make a stop in the shade at the foot of a single acacia tree where the path crosses Nahal Ramon. From time to time along this part you will see the markings of the Israel Trail.
\nThe path will climb moderately as we approach the southern cliffs. A green marked path will split off to our left – we will stay on the path with the red marking, which will lead us directly to Shen Ramon – the granite mountain that stands out in the middle of the line of chalky cliffs, at this point, you can enjoy the desert landscape that will spread before you.<\/p>\n
We will go down the other side of the mountain and continue on the path that winds to the left to the Ammonite Mountain and road 40. Upon arriving at the road, cross to the other side and turn left (north). We will continue for about 1.5 km to a dirt road that forks to the right, with a “Nahal Gonim” sign and a green marker. We will continue on the dirt road 2.5 km northeast between two ridges and acacia trees scattered between them.
