Ramon crater jeep trip 2-2 and a half hours

The meeting point: the parking lot of the "Evan Derech" shopping center at the main entrance to Mitzpe Ramon, here we will leave the vehicles, and get into the jeep to start driving south to the Ramon crater. At the renewed Barak and Amichai Itakis Mitzpoor, we will stop for a first observation towards Ramon Crater (depending on the size of the group and the crowd at the place) and here we will get to know the impressive Nubian gazelle, dozens of which live permanently in Mitzpe Ramon. We will look south to Mount Arif and east to Mount Ardon and get to know the magical scenery of the crater. After the observation we will start descending to the Ramon Crater on road 40 and after about 10 more minutes we will reach the crossing point of Nahal Ramon with road 40. We will go down to the river for a fun tutorial about the formation of a crater, look at the special colors of the rock and continue our journey inside Nahal Ramon, to the gypsum quarries complex where there is an accommodation site that includes an impressive Desert Khan. The route continues to the renewed "Colors of Ramon" national park, where you will enjoy the impressive colors of the ancient desert, located in the heart of the Ramon Crater. The route will take us to a hidden lake in an old quarry, here you can wade in the water for a short break. From the lake in the quarry, we will continue towards Khan Saharonim and the ancient Nabatean Saharonim, located next to a modest desert spring named Ein Saharonim. After a guided visit to the antiquities of Khan Saharonim and Mesed Saharonim, the continuation of the route will take us west to Nahal Gonim where we will return to road 40 on our way back to Mitzpe Ramon.
